$ 0.00

Main Color(s): gold, white, reddish-brown
Materials: shell, 10K gold
Maker: Finberg FMCO
Approximate Year: c1800s
Size: 1-1/2" x 1-3/16"

This fabulous shell cameo is set in a 10K rose gold frame, and can be worn either as a brooch or necklace pendant. It portrays a woman shown from the back ("Rebecca") about to enter a small building ("the well"). It measures 1-1/2 x 1-3/16 inches and is signed F.M.C.O., which is the mark for the Finberg Manufacturing Co out of Attleboro, Mass. They have been in business since 1888, and I am estimating that this cameo was made in the late 1800s.

The pin has a tubular mechanism that I believe is a stickpin clutch, which gives additional security to the clasp. This kind of mechanism was seen on Victorian brooches. The C-clasp is marked "10K" and the bottom of the brooch is marked "FMCO 10K." The cameo is in excellent vintage condition.

 It will be shipped in a gift box.
