Aguilar Hector Coro Mexican Sterling Grape Cluster Brooch 1940s Vintage Jewelry
$ 60.00
• Materials: sterling silver
• Maker: Héctor Aguilar for Coro
• Approximate Year: c1940s
• Size: 2.5" x 2-1/8"
This large Mexican sterling silver brooch is a cluster of grapes with two leaves on the sides. Due to wartime shortages, Coro In the 1940s had Héctor Aguilar design and make their sterling silver jewelry. This pin has a very dark age-related patina, and measures 2-1/2 x 2-1/8 inches and is about 3/4-inch tall. The back is marked "Silver Made in Mexico" and "Coro." The pin has an unusual clasp, with the end opposite the safety ring having a folded over piece of metal that hold the pivot point. Upon request, I will polish the pin, but otherwise will ship it in the current condition. (I will send a polishing cloth with the pin.) It will be shipped in a gift box.
